Full Moon in Cancer Reading 1/17/2022
Happy Full Moon everyone! I hope that this message finds you well and at peace.
This Full Moon is bringing us each a personal resolution to an issue in our life. Under this illumination we are going to be shown our emotions, reflect on the triggers that still exist within us and how we handle them so beautifully.
It isn’t ironic that for the first tarot card out we have the Moon show up. This is Spirit’s direct encouragement of us working with this lunation period in order to discover emotional patterns, habits and memories that are still stored within the body. We as a society can go on for so long without ever looking back at the root of the issues in our lives. But it will be impossible to ignore on Monday. With the 6 of cups following the Moon card and the influence of Cancer in this Full Moon, this will be heavy emotional work for us all. This isn’t something that we need to shy away from as this work also holds the same energetic frequency as our abundance.
I can see through the tarot that we all have our own idea of what personal wealth means to us and that stems from our upbringing. If there was more of a need financially in childhood then that need may be reflected through the financial decisions that you make today. Same goes for emotional needs and decision making. The 9 of pentacles bares the message of “I am abundant in my own right”. Which means you are free to grow it as you please. And if no one can tell you how to live your life, who’s there to remind you not to be so critical towards yourself? The Chariot in reverse tells us that in stillness we may receive the resolution to something that we have carried since childhood. Discovery doesn’t always mean outings and new countries. It can also be represented through a deep and internal process.
In stillness you may face those critical expectations that you have on yourself. You can then recognize that your worth isn’t based on what you create but is based solely upon who you are. We are all worthy, and should hear it and express it to others more often. I think this Full Moon is definitely allowing us to bring a softness in relation to one another. Usually under a more conflicting Full Moon, emotions may be too intense to express, especially in matters of the material. But with this Full Moon, shown through the 3 of pentacles, you will be working well with others. If there have been any group projects or creative projects that you have been involved in, this Full Moon blesses it with love.
When it comes to finances in a reading I always want to provide multiple perspectives on how an energy is showing up. For the end of the collective tarot we have the 4 of pentacles in reverse. This shows me two things:
Some of you may struggle with the realization that things are actually growing around you. You may find yourself always striving for more because of what seems like this unshakable feeling of lack that follows you from one creative pursuit to the next. In this case, the four of pentacles in reverse is actually a blessing to awaken you to the realization of what is thriving in your life. You may be finding yourself with more stability and money coming in than you were use to in the past and you want to hold onto it as tightly as possible. You do not have to worry about a hole in your wallet that isn’t there. You are thriving, and if there is something that must be invested in and you have the ability to do so, do not cheat yourself out of necessities.
For others, you actually enjoy saving. The ability and process of placing resources to the side feeds you the feelings of accomplishment and pride. And of course this is a healthy habit to continue to build in your life. But I do want to mention the 6 of cups in this reading again to ask, where did these habits stem from? At the root of all things financial, do you feel secure? This Full Moon will open up a lot of memories of what finances looked like for you in the past and even for your immediate family or ancestry. And if you’ve found yourself spending more in this recent past, be gentle with yourself as you get back to the basics of saving. You can collaborate with others, gaining multiple perspectives, to find a way of saving that is tailored and works best for you.
